NARSSA Membership & Annual Renewal
Your Membership with NARSSA
When you enroll in the RSSA® Program, you become a member of the National Association of Registered Social Security Analysts (NARSSA). Your membership provides access to a comprehensive ecosystem designed to support your growth and long-term success, including:
- RSSA® education and training
- RSSA Roadmap® software
- Ongoing case and planning support
- Continuing education resources
- Member services and professional tools
NARSSA membership is a core component of both your certification journey and your ongoing role as a Social Security specialist.
Membership Term & Renewal
All NARSSA memberships are active for 12 months from your original date of registration. To maintain uninterrupted access to the platform, tools, and support, an annual renewal fee of $479 is required. Key details:
- Renewal is billed every 12 months from your original registration date.
- Renewal timing does not change based on course progress or completion.
- Renewal applies to both Associates and Registered Social Security Analysts (RSSAs).
- Renewal required to maintain access to software, education, and member resources.
Example
If you enroll on June 18, 2026, your membership renewal will be due on June 17, 2027, at $479. This applies regardless of whether you are:
- Still completing the program, or
- Have already earned your RSSA® credential
For Associates (In Progress)
As an Associate working toward the RSSA® credential, your membership provides:
- Access to the full education program
- Study materials and exam preparation
- Support throughout your certification journey
If the program is not completed within your initial 12-month membership period, renewal is required to continue access and complete the program.
For Registered Social Security Analysts (RSSAs)
Once you have earned your RSSA® credential, your NARSSA membership represents your active certification status. To remain in good standing as an RSSA, you must:
- Maintain an active membership
- Complete annual continuing education (CE) requirements
- Adhere to NARSSA's professional standards and code of conduct
Your membership ensures continued access to:
- RSSA Roadmap® software
- Ongoing education and CE opportunities
- Client case support and resources
- Updates on Social Security rules and planning strategies
Continuing Education (CE) Requirements
RSSAs are required to complete 4 hours of continuing education annually to maintain an active credential. These requirements ensure you stay current with:
- Social Security rules and regulations
- Planning strategies and best practices
- Industry updates impacting your clients
Additional Membership Notes
If you are participating in the RSSA® Program through an enterprise organization, group partnership, or a monthly subscription-based offering, your membership structure may differ from the standard annual model outlined above.
In these cases, your access to the platform, software, and services may be included as part of your organization's agreement or subscription plan, and the $479 annual renewal fee may not apply directly to you. However, regardless of how your membership is structured:
- All Registered Social Security Analysts (RSSAs) are required to complete annual continuing education (CE).
- Maintaining CE is essential to remain in good standing and uphold the integrity of the RSSA® credential.
